Baltimore Ravens Fall to Chicago Bears at Home

The Baltimore Ravens used to be very tough to beat at home. The Ravens let the Chicago Bears come into M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday and beat them with a rookie quarterback. That’s right our well paid veteran quarterback Joe Flacco got beat by a rookie quarterback at home. Joe Flacco threw two interceptions in the game and has looked horrible all season.

Eric Weddle looked like garbage and missed a key tackle in overtime and fell on his back and basically go ran over by Chicago Bears running back Jordan Howard. The play led to the Chicago Bears winning field goal to make the final score 27 to 24 in OT. The play reminded me of the play when Eric Weddle let Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown overpower him at the goal line last Christmas in what became known as the immaculate extension. To Eric Weddle’s credit, he did accept full responsibility for the missed tackle.

It Was an Interesting Year for Baltimore Ravens

Well the 2014 NFL football season is over and it was indeed an interesting year for the Baltimore Ravens football team. The biggest incident of the year was the Ray Rice domestic violence scandal that made national news. This led to Ray Rice’s public apology and the Ray Rice suspension and eventually his release from the Ravens roster..

Ray Rice ended up being replace by Ravens running back Justin Forsett. Forsett turned out to be a pleasant surprise and he rushed so well that Ray Rice was barely missed. Justin Forsett ended up rushing for 1,266 yards averaging a whopping 5.4 yards per carry.

The highlight of the 2014 season had to be getting back to the playoffs and beating our rival Pittsburgh Steelers in Pittsburgh in the Wild Card Game. Anytime we beat Pittsburgh in the playoffs it is a beautiful thing!

The Ravens season did end on a bad note by losing to those cheating ass New England Patriots however. The Ravens were whipping the Patriots asses until they started doing some tricky plays substituting ineligible receivers. It is all good though because we know we should have won that game not to mention the deflated football scandal. I really feel that if most of the key players return and we can stay healthy the Ravens have a good shot at winning the Superbowl next year.

Ravens vs Bengals Game Ends in a Heartbreaking Loss

The Ravens vs Bengals game was a heart breaker. The Ravens were down 15 to 0 at the end of the first half mainly due to dropped passes, a fumble, an a bone headed play by quarterback Joe Flacco. Not to mention a rarely missed field goal by kicker Justin Tucker.

The Ravens battled back however to take the lead were up 16 to 15 late in the 4th quarter. Andy Dalton then went deep to his bread and butter wide receiver A.J. Green for a touchdown to give the Bengals a 23 to 16 lead. Joe Flacco managed to drive into Bengals territory with a chance to win but the offensive line gave up 2 untimely sacks which sealed the loss for the Ravens.

The Ravens are currently preparing to play the division rival Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night.

Can the Ravens Sweep the Pittsburgh Steelers?

The Baltimore Ravens can clinch the AFC North Division today by beating the Pittsburgh Steelers. A win today would also clinch the 2nd season sweep of the Steelers in the past 2 years. This is a great opportunity for the Baltimore Ravens to help put the Pittsburgh Steelers out of their misery.

Big Ben will not be playing today for the Steelers and the Ravens will be playing at home where they haven’t loss in 2 seasons. I expect the Ravens to win this game and become the AFC North Champions today.

Go Ravens!!!

Ravens Face Browns After Getting Embarrased by Chargers

The San Diego Chargers embarassed the Baltimore Ravens last week by blowing the Ravens out 34 to 14. If it was not for a 49ers victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night, the Ravens would be clinging onto a wild card spot. The Ravens will currently be the #2 seed in the AFC if they win their final 2 games.

Today, the Ravens will face the Cleveland Browns at home in M & T Bank Stadium. The Ravens are undefeated at home and I expect them to come out and crush a struggling Cleveland Browns team.

Joe Flacco for President

Joe Flacco has won my vote for president by leading the Baltimore Ravens to 2 straight come from behind victories in the 4th quarter. The Ravens have swept the Pittsburgh Steelers during the regular season with their 23 to 20 victory last Sunday. Think about it. If it wasn’t for a couple of dropped passes in the playoffs, Joe Flacco may have won 3 straight against the Steelers!

With the addition of Torrey Smith and Lee Evans, Flacco finally has some good toys to play with. If the offense can get consistent, I don’t think any one will be able to handle the Ravens. Joe Flacco threw for 314 yds and 1 touchdown against the Steelers.

Ravens Offense Looked Horrible Monday Night

It looks like the Baltimore Ravens will forever be a team known mainly for its defense. The offense did not show up at all against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Ravens offense did not get a first down until the 5:26 mark of the third quarter! Joe Flacco only had 1 yard passing in the first half of play.

The Ravens defense did not give up a touchdown but the Ravens still ended up losing to the Jaguars by a score of 12 to 7. The Ravens gave up first place in the AFC North to our good friends the Pittsburgh Steelers with the loss. The Ravens will play the Arizona Cardinals next.
